About Place
Majuli is the first island district of India and is known as the world’s largest river island. It is located at a distance of 154 km from Kaziranga National Park. The place is well known for its temples and other cultural attractions. Garmur, situated at a distance of 114 km from the park, is one holy place full of ancient artefacts and rich art forms. Kamalabari Satra is another popular spot in the Majuli region which is famous for articles on culture, literature, art and some classical studies. It is around 144 km from Kaziranga National Park. Apart from these two destinations, Tengapania is a picnic hotspot for tourists and natives. It is situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra river which adds to its beauty and is 180 km from the park.
