About Place
Nestled in the northern part of the Satpura Range, Mahadeo Hills is around 20 km from Satpura National Park. It lies at an altitude of 1,363 m and is full of plateaus and steep scarps. The north side of the hill has a gentle slope while the south has a steeper one. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is situated near the river Narmada. It is believed that the Narmada river is the daughter of Lord Shiva that flows to the north of the hills. This is the reason behind the religious significance of the place. Mahadeo hill is a site full of spirituality and natural beauty.
