The Corbett Museum is one of the most featured sites by tourists in Uttarakhand and is located in Kaladhungi. It is basically a heritage bungalow of the renowned hunter and environmentalist, Jim Corbett, who was behind raising the value of wildlife conservation in India. The magnificent museum showcases the life and activities of Jim Corbett in the jungle of the Kumaon hills.
The museum is an ideal place to gain knowledge on the importance of wildlife while enjoying the majestic territory of the reserve. The visit to the museum can make people imagine the reality of these big cats and why close encounters with such species are worthwhile. The museum also has many catchy belongings of Jim Corbett such as his paintings, sketches, articles, manuscripts as well as the last hunt of his. The place also has many shops around where one can buy handmade rural items which have the reflection of wild animals including tigers.
The museum remains open throughout the year except for Holi and the usual visiting hours are between 7 am to 6 pm.
