Operating Season:

The park is open from 1st October to 30th June, with a 15 day late and early opening and closing possibility depending on the weather conditions. Hence, before you book your park safari, contact the hotels and get clarity of the safari situation if you plan on visiting the park in the 1st week of October or the last week of June.

Safari Time Tentative 2021-22 Operating Dates Note
Morning Safari

1st October'21 to 30th June'22
  • Entry By: The standard rule is that the safari starts at sunrise. Hence Morning safari entry time ranges between 5:30 am to 6:45 am depending on the sunrise time. 
  • Exit By: The exit time is standard at 11:30 am throughout the safari seasons.
Evening Safari 1st October'21 to 30th June'22
  • Entry By: The evening safari entry time ranges between 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm depending on the weather. Winters mostly the time is 3:00 pm and summer’s that is April onwards the time would be 4:00 pm. 
  • Exit By: The exit time depends on the sunset and can range between 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Night Safari 1st October'21 to 30th June'22
  • Entry Time:  6:30 pm
  • Exit Time: 9:00 pm
Full-Day Safari 1st October'21 to 30th June'22
  • Entry Time: 15 to 20 minutes before sunrise.
  • Exit Time: 15 to 20 minutes after sunset.


 

Pench being situated in Central India is subjected to extreme tropical weather. Month of January may also witness sub-zero temperatures and frost. Monsoon arrives in the second week of June. The average temperature over the months is as below:
