The Lucknow division of northeastern railways has received a heads up from the railway board to start the Vistalook tourists car operation through Dudhwa park. A successful trial within a stretch of 108 km was conducted between Bichia to Mailani with two vistadome coaches that give a panoramic view through glass windows and 180-degree rotatable seats.
The passengers will get an unparalleled ride experience from Katarniaghat wildlife sanctuary and Dudhwa National Park of Uttar Pradesh. The service charge is kept at an affordable range. “The Vistalook coaches will be part of an express train, as running just two coaches train is not financially feasible. We expect to start the operation in the next two weeks”, said DRM Monica Agnihotri. The Vistalook coaches were developed by the RDSO team and has different facilities. The timetable along with the charges will be out soon. Tickets can be bought through the IRCTC portal as well.
